Dick Cheney and Saleh agreeing to co-operate in the "War on Terror" |
Two years ago, February 21, 2012, President of Yemen, Ali Abdullah Saleh, resigned after being in office for 33 years. This year, on February 2, the 33rd day of the year, former President Ali Abdullah Saleh also had his house bombed, along with Yemen's Ministry of Defense and its Central Bank. The bombings were synchronized with the kickoff of the Super Bowl.
It is difficult to tell if Ali Abdullah Saleh is or was a puppet of Western powers. He is a member of the Arab League which was formed on March 22, 1945, at the end of the second World War. Former leaders from the region who have since been assassinated have said the entire organization is a puppet organization. Ali Abdullah Saleh also has a March 21 birthday, adding more curiosity to his situation.
After Saleh's resignation, he fled to the United States, where he received medical treatment in New York City. Ali Abdullah first came to power in 1977, when he was appointed Military Governor of Ta'izz. When the President and man who appointed him was assassinated on June 24, 1978; Saleh became one of four candidates for the Presidency. On July 17, 1978, he was made President, and remained President until his resignation.
I will keep my eye on this story. The thirty-threes within it are what have my attention.
